Moyes To Stay As He Seeks Four Key Signings

David Moyes has come out and confirmed that he will not be going anywhere, despite the internet rumours which spread like wild fire yesterday saying otherwise. The FE Forums have been especially busy with rumours.
After some bookmakers were reported to have stopped taking bets on Moyes being the first manager to leave his post in the coming season, rumours soon spread that Moyes’ six year reign was about to come to an end, despite assurances the week before from Moyes that he was hoping to wrap up his contract in the coming weeks.
In a week that Everton CEO Keith Wyness resigned and chairman Kenwright came out with a statement attempting to reassure fans, rumours of unrest at Everton were rife, and a flurry of bets on Moyes leaving his post lead to a sudden shortening of odds. However this has proven to be unfounded as Moyes came out and quashed the rumours. In a statement Moyes said, “I am not going anywhere. I am here and intend to see the job through. We have great expectations and I hope that I am able to fufil them. I hope that maybe we can try and get together in the next week or two and sort something out.”

In the same interview, Moyes has reiterated his determination to bring in the best players available.
“At the moment my energies are focused on bringing in new players. We have a certain amount of money to improve what we have got here. I will not bring in just for the sake of it. We need to bring in three or four main players that are going to cost big money and my standards are that high that I’m not going to bring them down. We need to bring in better players now to try and help the squad. But we don’t have bundles of cash.”

Its just very good news. Its hard to be a ‘Blue’, when every day you read wildly conflicting news about transfers, David Moyes, Kirby. Its really necessary for people like Kenwright and Moysie to tell it to us straight. Rumours are causing us loss of sleep.
